Capuchino anyone?
Out on a walk - snapped this and then really wanted a capuchino or some pasta :)
California Capital Air Show 2012
Took James to the California Capital Air Show. Got to show him a ton of planes, jets, and even the jet I worked on in the Air Force, the U-2 spy plane. I think his favorite one was the C-5 Galaxy. A gigantic cargo aircraft pictured in the first 2 photos above. Then of course the acrobats were a hit as well. I thought the guy who raced a P-38 in his jet pwered dragster was pretty awesome. He hit like 300 mph... We didn't get to stay long enough for the Thunderbirds :( next year for sure :)... and I will take a much longer lens.
Daily Bread
Another in a series of still life images. I am not sure really where I am going with this but it feels good so I am staying with this path for a bit.
Out of Time
Back in my home studio. Trying to get my head around lighting to evoke an environment. The photo above should look like a table in a room in an old building with a high window. Thats what the plan was anyway. I think it came out ok. As always, the final setup was a bit different than I started with and more simple a well. Basically one SB600 into a half collapsed umbrella pointing completely perpendicular to the subject and up high. Then a black reflector camera left to soak up some of the light.
ARC Studio B
I was in tuning drums for a friend at American River College Studio B. Thought I would grab some quick shots. This studio is beautiful. These students are working on their submission to the Audio Engineering Society
